more leaping play-doh bunnies

Remember the cool Bravia commercial with the play-doh bunnies? And the ensuing minor dustup regarding Fallon's commercial being curiously similar to artwork by Kozyndan?

Well, those bunnies are still going at it...like...er...rabbits. (Sorry.) A new Easter-themed spot from
Mainframe for Virgin Media's Challenge TV gives a cheeky hat tip to the original commercial.

Exhibit 1: Challenge TV Ad (2008)
The Challenge TV ad is currently available only on Mainframe's site; select Our Work then Challenge TV Bunnies Promo Play Movie.

(p.s. bunnies are being bunnies behind the litter can!)

Exhibit 2: Sony Bravia Ad (2007)

Exhibit 3: Kozyndan Panoramic (2002)

Speaking of Kozyndan, I just ordered a couple of t-shirts from their site. I so like their sh*t.

Animated short from street artist Sam3

The following short video was produced by Sam3 and features music by Aphex Twin. Titled Radiographia Urbana (Urban Radiography), it is a re-edit of a 2006 film projected onto the side a building near San Cristobal Church in Murcia, Spain.

[via Wooster Collective]

Sam3 is a Madrid-based street artist who specializes in silhouettes and shadows. Several of his works were included in Banksy's Santa's Ghetto project in Jerusalem in December 2007. (#) Sam3's web site Agency of the Urban Subconcious has examples of his street work including provocative, political, and polarizing street art. (Uh...alliteration gone mad.)

Paper Monster offers for purchase three fairly tame Sam3 prints (signed). (Paper Monster also has a couple of signed Kozyndan prints, too!)

I miss those heady startup days

It was fun to hang out with boy and girl geeks at a boutique tek company party last weekend. Rock Band was a bit hit on the flat panel, with psuedo-rockers rotating in and out all evening. Guitar Hero was so old news.

The workboard looked about right, from what I can remember in my old startup days. Sigh.

Oh and besides the fun stuff, a lovely detail: Kozyndan art on the walls. Signed. Numbered. Yow!

Why I support music education

Because a student might be lucky enough to participate in something like this when grown up.

Agency Fallon of London has been brilliant for Sony lately.
Another great Fallon ad is for Sony Bravia and has play-doh-like bunnies. There was a bit of a dustup about its similarity to art work by L.A. pair Kozyndan, but all seems to have settled down now.

I love creative shit like this.

(oh, and BTW I wasn't in band. I played the piano.)
